Voted as one of “Seattle's Top Doctors” in Seattle Metropolitan magazine.

Doctor Donovan is a Naturopathic Physician, author and educator. He has over 30 years of patient-care experience. He currently maintains a robust private practice at his integrated medical clinic, theUHC, in Seattle, Washington. In his naturopathic medical practice, he diagnoses, treats

and co-manages patients with various chronic health problems that include heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, ulcerative colitis, crohn's disease, and other chronic inflammatory and autoimmune disorders.

Dr. Donovan also writes and lectures on the transformational process of healing. He believes a person's healing journey is ultimately a quest for his/her identity, purpose and meaning. This journey is mythologically and mystically represented as "the Hero's Journey." He strongly emphasizes that each person discover the self-affirming and self-transcending theme of his/her journey as it is presented in their disease process (biologically, psychologically and spiritually).

In his clinical practice, Dr. Donovan assists his patients in discovering the theme of their healing quest while providing for them the medical, nutritional and lifestyle therapies and guidance necessary to complete their individual journey.

He has written two books, The Face of Consciousnes: A guide to Self-identity and Healing and Dancing With The Beloved. The Face of Consciousness was one of five finalists in the 2007 Nexus Books Awards and is considered a "masterpiece of integration that explores the underlying principles of the transformational process of healing as they are reflected in the physical sciences, psychology, mythology and mysticism." It has been called "a bold and imaginative work"...that is "penetrating to the core of the question that confronts us all: Who are we? What are we?"
